Fall isn’t all about raking leaves, it’s also the ideal time to plant bulbs so that your garden bursts with color in the spring.
You can plant them anywhere in your garden, but remember that much like succulents, “bulbs don’t like wet feet”, so make sure that it’s in an area with adequate drainage.
Cluster them together for the most visual impact.
If you’re planting multiple kinds of bulbs, stagger them so that the tall ones are at the back with the shortest ones in front. It’s also interesting to mix them with other plantings, like irises with grasses for a meadow effect.
In small spaces, plant bulbs in pots for a tidy and space-saving display.
